I joined Wilshire in 2012 as an entry-level analyst in the Consulting division after graduating from college. Nine years later, I had become the manager of a team of six analysts, a CFA charter holder and certified FRM, and a mother of two children. Our team analyzes and monitors institutional clients’ portfolios with the aim of helping retirees make informed decisions with their investments.
Of the many reasons why I have stayed at Wilshire for so long, two make the top of the list. Firstly, everyone I work with is exceptionally smart. What’s better than being in a workplace where you are surrounded by intelligent colleagues and are inspired to be your best? Secondly, since the day I joined, I have consistently received mentoring and support from my managers and colleagues. And finally, Wilshire provides many excellent employee benefits. For example, I was able to take three months of paid parental leave after having my second baby, which really helped me rest and fully recover, while giving me precious time to bond with my newborn baby.
